Hoshi had been a little sceptical when Archer had detoured towards this quiet little planet once all the dust had settled.

"She's a little girl," he had reasoned. "Nothing fixes up a kid like a little sun and some grass to run in."

She had agreed, eventually.

Hallee had been hesitant to leave their side at first. There were too many people she didn't know, to many open spaces. Hoshi had been about to suggest just going back to the ship before Tucker burst into the hotel room with a smile, waving a small packet around.

"Talked to this guy down town," he said as he pulled Hallee onto his lap and showed her the pictures. "Said he'd ship us off over there at no charge."

"Wow," Hallee said as she looked at pictures of oceans and beaches.

"Damn right wow," he said as she plucked the brochure from her and gave it to Hoshi.

"Charlie," she started as se looked over it. "This is too much." She watched as he picked Hallee up and flew her around the room.

"It's fine Hosh," he said. "I told ya, I explained the whole thing to that great guy down at the front desk and he arranged all of this. We spend the rest of our leave there instead of here."

"Really?" Hallee asked. "Can we go swimmin'?"

"You can swim and build sand castles and go play hide an' seek in the forest darlin'," he said with a smile. Hoshi looked at the two expectant faces that were staring back at her.

"Fine!" she said with a sigh. "We'll go!"

And that was how she found herself in a little wooden hut, watching Hallee and Trip doze off together in a hammock. She gave a little sigh as she watched the breeze flutter through some of the errant braids that hung over the edge of the hammock. Hallee had really wanted them and she was willing to sit by herself as a strange put them in.

Charlie was so proud of her that he let her go swimming in that little spring they had found in the woods.

She pulled a sarong from the back of a chair and tied it around her waist before going out to see them. She stopped by the side of the hammock and ran a hand through his hair gently.

"Hey darlin'," he said with a sleepy smile as he looked at her.

"Hey yourself," she said as she reached over and moved the braids from around Hallee's neck. "You two certainly had a busy day." He chuckled and wiggled his way out from under the little girl. He offered a hand and she took it before he led them to the edge of the deck and they sat, side by side.

"I think she's gonna be okay," he said with a smile as he patted her hand. "No nightmares for a few weeks now, eatin' like a horse." They both laughed. The amount of food that girl could put away was ridiculous some times.

"What happens when we do end up back on earth?" she asked. The smile fell from his face and he grew quiet. This was something they hadn't talked about.

"We'll fight for her," he said. "I haven't come this far just to loose her now." He looked over at her and she looked back.

"We fight," she said quietly as they turned back to watch the sun set over the ocean.
